To start the quest, you first need to go to Desert Temple (ID 1845328) in Johannesburg, check the items there and use the Statue of Celestial Beauty to start your exploration. You'll arrive in the desert in less than ten minutes.

The Joburg quest is a tough one if you lost your way. You might be hurt a lot of times due to the heat and the desert is a plain maze. However, the behaviour of the maze depends of your two very first steps. The only direction available will be North, and afterwards you'll land in the desert where you can go North, South, West and East each time you make a move. As you can see on the map, the desert consists in a 10x10 cycling square. It means that if you go 10 times in the same direction, you'll arrive at your initial location.

For each of these two first steps, you might get the notification “You lost your way”. This will help you finding where your second step will send you and how to get quickly to the end of the quest.

• • If you never lose your way, you'll go to the path 1 (coloured in blue on the map)
• • If you lose your way only after your first step, you'll go to the path 2 (coloured in green on the map)
• • If you lose your way only after your second step, you'll go to the path 3 (coloured in red on the map)
• • If you lose your way twice, you'll go to the path 4 (coloured in orange on the map)

Ending successfully this quest will allow you to choose a skill — music genre for Popmundo characters or criminal The Great Heist characters — you wish to be blessed with an extra star in by the holy Kobe, and if you haven't, the Crossed the desert achievement.
