Quests » Frank Blomdahl's Monolith
Sir Frank Blomdahl (ID 13) was one of Popmundo's Dev(inity). The developer behind him was pretty much Hattrick's daddy, but he spent some time working on Popmundo as well, and was known to be the creator of the mysterious gates, recipes and other marvellous stuff not related to the core game.
After leaving the team, the character Frank died at 67 years old, on the 27th day of Game Year 50 (2010-08-02). He now rests in peace in Stockholm graveyard — formerly known as Skogskyrkogården, the place was later renamed Frank Blomdahl Minneslund (Frank Blomdahl Memorial in Swedish) by the city.
When Frank died, a mysterious Monolith appeared in the graveyard and people wondered for a full game year what was its purpose. It appeared that on Day 27 of Game Year 51, people noticed that they finally could interact with the mysterious monolith.

The diary entry The thing's hollow... it goes on forever... and... oh my Frank, it's full of stars! is a direct quote from the novel “2001: A Space Odyssey” written by Sir Arthur C. Clarke — except the word God was switched into Frank.
This sentence and the monolith giving extra XP — just as the alien Monolith is used by their creators to encourage the development of intelligent life in the novel — are a strong tribute made to the novel and to the fellow developer by his former team.
